Somewhat belatedly because of unknown glitches with my browser, I'm catching up with this excellent project at: http://kd.lab.nig.ac.jp/chess/tablebases-online/index-alpha.shtml Status appears to be: - 3-to-5-man all - 3-3 P-less EGTs all, 55 of 55 - 4-2 P-less EGTs 34 of 80 All 'out there' somewhere? - 3-3 P-ful EGTs 26 of 65 Only 49 ex-Eugene yet - 4-2 P-ful EGTs 55 of 95 Also all 'out there' somewhere? The sponsor's board of original EGT-file contributors is filling up, and opportunities to join it are reducing quickly. I regret that I can't contribute any files myself. However, I hope that those of you who have benefited from Rob's longtime ftp service will be able to contribute to what looks like its worthy successor - if only by promulgating file(s) you have temporarily or by snailmail to the major uploaders of the project. My respects and congrats to the progenitors of this Distributed Chess Library. g
