"Same here...." In my opinion innovative or revolutionary ideas HAVE to be given to the community no matter what! Of course it's the choice of the "inventor" to do this but in my opinion if someone dosn't want to do this shold not be called a real scientist.... In this commercial area of Chess programs or to other similar areas, where there is a battle of money of course, i have again the same opinion but the "inventor" should delay the revealing of his secrets by let's say a year. Imagine what would happen if all these great Mathematicians or Physicist kept for themselves their discoveries.... A true scientist should always share! EVEN if this costs him many money..... Easy to say in the competitive world we live of course and i may be considered as a dreamer. But i find that respect and reputation is better from a little more money.... > >Chrilly is clearly not open about what hydra does and I do not trust what he >says when his program is private. > >Hydra did not play in the last tournaments and it is clearly possible that hydra >is weaker than rybka. > >Uri
