Hi All, :-)

Earlier this month I posted details of a grand tourney I am runnning to
establish (atleast for my benefit) which is the strongest CM9000 and CM10th
personality.

Full details are available here
http://uk.geocities.com/bloodhound66@btinternet.com/new_page_3.htm

Essentially one top setting from each CM settings guru, 40 games for each
personality and also default setting (for benchmark purposes) against 25
different (non CM opponents), to make 1000 games for each setting.

Summary results after 3 / 25 rounds:

Rnd 1 - Rybka 1.0 beta
Rnd 2 - Shredder 9
Rnd 3 - Glaurung 051213

CM10th Ogre - 59.0 / 120 (Graham Banks)
CM10th Spock - 55.5 / 120 (Wilhelm Hudetz)
CM10th Milan 2.3 - 54.5 / 120 (Milorad Madjar)

CM10th D2Alos - 53.5 / 120
CM9000 Default - 49.5 / 120 < benchmark >
CM10th Default - 47.5 / 120 < benchmark >
CM10th Schumacher - 46.5 / 120
CM10th SoFar2 - 46.0 / 120
CM10th Berean 5.54 - 45.0 / 120
CM10th Cell - 44.5 / 120
CM10th WoDra+ - 41.5 / 120

Early days and too soon for identifying trends but interestingly wide spread of
results in individual matches so far (detailed scores -
http://uk.geocities.com/bloodhound66@btinternet.com/chessmaster_personality_blitz_te1.htm
)

--------------------------------------

Tourney stats

Start date: 26 Dec 05
Games played to date: 3,200
% completed: 15.2%

CM9000 testing will take place after CM10th testing has finished

Best wishes

Chris
