Well, in the first game, Tandy made two consecutive horrible moves (10...h5 and 11...Bf6), which stepped into a mate in 8. The weaker Chessmater personalities have an odd quirk in that, even though they may play poorly in the long run, they can spot a mate in 8 with little difficulty! In game two, Tandy stepped into a mate in three with 16.Kd3. Ke1 would have been much better (although still down 1.06 according to CM6000). Strangely, Carrie has yet to make a "bad" move in the first two games that would be indicative of a 900 player.... Game three: Once again, Carrie plays comparitively flawlessly, and although down a knight to a pawn she is way up positionally. Tandy's first major error is 9...Be6, and 16...Nxf2 is bad, but the game is already lost by then. 17...Kd8 steps into a mate in two. 8...Ne5 is very concerning. Any "909" player would simply take the queen. Game four: 5.Qc3 just sucks (here, take my queen for a bishop). 7.Bb5 (here, take my bishop too!). Still, though, Carrie is playing very well and not missing a beat. I won't bother with game five, as I imagine it's more of the same. Very strange behavior. Tandy played poorly, but Carrie didn't even allow Tandy a chance to come back. jm On April 08, 1999 at 01:43:08, Micheal Cummings wrote: >I Played these five Games between my old Tandy 1650 Fast Response Computer on >level 7, which takes some time and is its highest level.
