What are we all going to do after we come down off the Rybka high? What are we going to do if Rybka continues to win all of the tournaments in 2006? 2007? 2008? Will Rolf the troll, continue to post here if Rybka on 2200 mhz continues to beat his chessbase programs on 4400 mhz+? Will some of the programmers retire because of the effort it will take to beat Rybka in tournaments? Will there be less programmers willing to spend money to travel to tournaments, knowing Rybka will take first place? What will all the losing top programs do if Rybka gains strength in 2006-2007? Will chessbase close its free program game server? On 2,2,2006 8:44 PM, I counted 112 programs playing at Chessbase server, 106 were Rybka. 98% of gamers do not attempt to move up chessbase rankings at chessbase server with chessbase programs. All at chessbase expense. Will chess be boring in 2006 and 2007 if Rybka keeps dominating? Will AMD and Intel stock fall becuase of Rybka? huge investment in dual core and four core cpu will not sell because Rybka wins on one core. Will SMK get depressed and quit and then say Shredder is "open source"? kburcham
