What do exist of GUI's to play blindfold chess. I've started pondering of making such a gui, but maybe it is there allready. Here is what I want from it. - Both players plays each own PC. - In a tournament it could be nice to have a 'tournament server' to keep track of the moves, ev. show the game to the public. - For training purpose it should be possible to let only one player be 'blind'. - Different kind of move annocement. Speaking moves, displaying from to square, and maybe with animating last move with moving piece. Last move must be easy to replay. - Easy to use over the Internet. It doesn't matter if it is easy to cheat because if used in a tournament you must have an observer on each location anyway. (And for training the only cheated are the cheater.) How I would do it is to create a chess server ala fics, icc, in a light version. This could be running either on a tournament server or on a players machine. Then create a client gui with the wanted features. Odd Gunnar
