You can figure that out by measurement. And if you simply can't figure it out, others are going to figure it out for you anyway. "Look, your program does not understand king safety! See how it moved the king's pawn shelter for no particular reason?!" Once you know what is wrong, then you look up the information you need to in order to fix it.
