Subject: Winning Chess Sacrifices And Combinations, Position #209

[D]r3rqk1/3n1pbp/b2p2p1/p1pP4/1p2PP1N/6nP/PPQB3N/R3RBK1 w - - 0 1

My (weak) program, Toga II 1.1 and Gambit Fruit 4bx all give Bxa6 right away,
followed by some fairly normal looking moves, and stick to it up until I stop
the search a couple of minutes later, with a minus score.

It hardly seems like a "winning Chess combination", so I'm wondering if there's
a real sparkler of a move in the position that none of the above engines is
seeing, or if indeed this is the solution (and if so what's the point?). A
quick look at the position sort of suggests to me that there might be a trapped
Queen motif in there with the White Knight(s).

Failing that, is the FEN wrong?

Also, wouldn't someone mind letting me know where I could find a list of
solutions to all 1,001 positions?

Thanks.

Regards,

Mike.
