are you really sure ?

1. The display seems connected to the board
2. As Clive mentionned, leds between the squares cannot be seen
3. The description says that it is incorporated in the side of the board and
even if some digits do not work, this is no big deal as the Sapphire's display
works (according to babelfish ;-) )

Not yet fully convinced regards,
