Hello David, until now, I was not conerned much about eval, because I'm a very weak chess player. Probably everything looks completely different, if I add some more eval terms as king safety, pawn structures and so on. But nethertheless I wondered whether such a low beta cut rate seams reasonable. I now suspect that due to my simple eval, many nodes have the nearly the same eval score, and thus a beta cut is not applied very often. Moving a queen, king or rook without capturing does not change the score at all... :( Will work on a at least reasonable eval now before tuning the search module any further because I think it makes more sense this way...
