Subject: This is what Huge Hash does ...

Author: chandler yergin

Date: 11:03:46 02/06/06

Chess is a game.
Only Humans play it.
Only humans understand it!
Comps are a TOOL we use to help us, & in reality, many times they
simply confuse us!
Never trust their analysis!
The human Brain has over 100 Billion Neurons & can outhink & outperform
any Silicon Chip that has ever been made or will be made!
Programmers want to perpetuate the Myth that it won't.
Yes, this is what Hash does..
It helps "Evaluate" the Main Line, the PV 1/2 move..i.e. 1 ply at a time.
It does this every time, when a move is made on the board.
It evaluates it from the perspective of the player whose turn it is to move.
The 'evaluation' is for the whole line, not just a move.
The Line is not forced, and as soon as it makes it's move, the opponent makes
his 'Best" move as evaluated from his perspective, and the Search & evaluation
begins again from Ply 1.
This is the fundamental concept of how Computer Chess Programs work.
It's not Rocket Science.

A Human & a Novice Player, a PATZER can see at a glance what a Comp
may never find. Comps don't play like Grandamsters! They don;'t 'play' at all!
They 'evaluate' the position 'ON THE BOARD' that's ALL they do.
Some people treat them, refer to them in "Anthropomorphic" terms.
Well... there are words to describe Delusion.
