Subject: CCRL - 4040 Endgame Positions Proposal

Author: Chessfun

Date: 17:09:56 02/07/06

These are the positions currently being looked at by the CCRL. These positions
go back to a previous debate at CCC with a lot of the positions suggested by
Sune. The first 9 are from GM Nunns endgame test with one position removed. The
other 11 positions were at various times posted at CCC and some were tested
previously here.

The positions would be used for playing the 11 top engines in CCRL's Pure list
at 4040 AMD 64 3800+ equal, all play all 20 times White, 20 times Black.

Engines would all have accesss to complete 5 person tablebases and for engines
that don't use them the next counterpart of that engine may be tried at a later
date.

All games would be run as engine matches.
