It looks awkward, moving the queen so many times, but after 8 d5, rybka wants to play qa5 (depth 17). then a suggested line is 9 dxc6, bxc6, 10) qd3, qc7 (moving the queen five times in the opening!!) The evaluation is .60 in the Position before 10. qd3: [D] r1b1kb1r/p2npppp/2p2n2/q7/8/2N2N2/PPP1BPPP/R1BQ1RK1 w kq - 0 10 I have to agree. this is not great for black. I think blacks position is very solid, and suprisingly hard to break, but still, black is way behind in development. So the question is, does 8. d5 refute this line? By the way, i've played a few qe5 variations in blitz, and it is doing ok. My oponents seem almost offended by this move and tend to be a bit too aggressive. However, I'm not sure i would use this OTB or in correspondance Sometimes the question is: "do you want to play right, or do you want to win?" best Joseph
