Subject: Concerning Naum 1.91 Running in Chessbase

Asfar as i can tell, The config. file for Naum 1.91 must pertain to Winboard and
is not applicable in any way under Chessbase. I can change ponder to OFF in the
config. file, but it still is ON in chessbase if the block is checked. And you
can change the hash in the config. file to number you want, even 0 , and it wont
affect the hash in chessbase when you check it thru the task manager. So i
assume if you are running Naum thru Chessbase you competely ignore the config.
file. Can anyone tell me if i am correct on this. And a second question.
Assuming i am correct, and the hash changes are made thru chessbase only, i use
the following procedure: I set the hash to 32mb in chessbase and then look at
the mb count in PF Usage. Then i change the hash to 128mb and again look at the
mb count in task manager. Going from 32 to 128 mb should show a 96mb change, as
it does with all the other programs. But with Naum it shows a 72mb change, which
when you add the 32 back to 72, you come up with it actually changing to 104mb
instead of 128mb. Is that about as close as i can get it, or am i doing
something wrong. Thanks in advance, George
