It is obvious that you have either a hardware problem or a problem with an application using most of your CPU. Thus the workarounds you wanna try will never succeed in something useful. They don't cure the reason. I don't remember exactly the old thread, but the first you should do is checking your ram and eventual heat problems. If you use CB I remember there could be also an issue with system recovery conflicts with large CB books. For more help please link again to the old thread with the specs of your machine/system and applications used and/or tell us what you have already tried. Guenther
