If you deal with an emotional psychopath, please note i do NOT say Vasik is one, do you find him a better person because he makes a bit more profit with his $5000 at wallstreet than you do with your $5000? Additional, to use financial world comparisions, amidst billionaires, Vasik currently is not even millionaire. However as it is looking very promising he makes a small chance to become one and certain professional chessprogrammers are a bit worried then that despite all the big marketing slogans used by certain companies, that those slogans get replaced by a new fashion of clear lying. There is a BIG difference between marketing your product with a good slogan and marketing by modifying the truth. Please note that no programmer gets PAID to dominate with their chessprogram in blitz events. I remember how in the year 2000, Diep was doing pretty well at ICC. In fact it was 2nd highest in bullet after ferret. It was not too bad in blitz either. That was obvious in 2001 world champs blitz. (excuses why and how removed)Despite all that, diep won many games and missed narrowly the world title blitz in the one last round when i lost with Diep from Erdogan who operated Goliath there which was a very impressive blitz program. Who remembers Goliath? I remember that for a few years Tiger was very impressive. It really impressed once in Paderborn. For me, Tiger just came out of the sky on earth and really kicked butt. Even SSDF couldn't deny it's playing strength and with a Noomen book it kicked butt there. But then, Tiger never won a world title. Goliath has more world titles than Tiger. After a close study of what Rybka is based upon, most commercial authors tell me now that they find it very impressive that Vasik has achieved, but if they would award a prize for the 'Engine surprise 2005', it doesn't go to Vasik, they award it to Fabien Letouzey. His code is however open source... Vasik has of course a big opportunity with a good openingsbooker to become the 'bad surprise 2006' for those commercial programmers in Turino 2006. What we do know is that most programmers won't award him a prize for social behaviour. He ends last there. My own judgement there is more forgiving than those programmers. To me it is like, you make a few mistakes and then you correct them. I'm sure Vasik will too. If i would quote however what others say, then every sentence of it would be ready for moderation.
