Hi all , just a reminder that tomorrow the position based tournaments (first with Blitz) start in CEGT. I will send the preconfigured engines to CEGT testers this evening. So we can only include betas send until this evening. Ratings will be calculated for each position, but will also go to CEGT Blitz organized by Wilhelm Hudetz 1. Spike 2. Glaurung 3. Naum 4. SlowChess 5. WildCat 6. E.T.Chess 7. Ufim 8. Chiron 9. Movei 10 Petir 11. Trace 12. Cerebro 13. Kiwi 14. Bruja 15. Djinn 16. Matacz 17. Tornado 18. Quark If more will apply we divide into a stronger and a weaker group. Results will be posted in Winboard Forum and CEGT Forum. The following 11 positions are chosen by Harry Schnapp according to the following criteria: length: 7 moves Pawnstructure enabling an open middle game. Good development of minor pieces with mostly all pieces still on the board. Exchanges and simplifying the position short-termed hardly possible. Positions can be handled actively and positionally as well, according to the playing style of the participating engines. No variation played too passively by White, so that Black would have also equalled after only seven moves. At the same time opportunities for both opponents to grab the initiative.
