A good programmer  would actually encrypt his EXE so it would be difficult for
you to analyze his code.

If you are planning to use it to create a Chess Engines , there are actually
many open source of Chess Programs (like Crafty, Fruit ).

For those commercial versions like Fruit 2.2.1, Shredder, Fritz - Definitely ,
those are encrypted and protected. If you dont have any knowledge about assembly
language it would be very very difficult.
