I don't use a time server. I currently still use the 2.6.14 kernels. Maybe the problem is specific to gentoo and your system configuration. The best thing is to check in the Gentoo Forum page, there is tons of troubleshooting info but you have to search a bit. If I remember correctly there are lots of threads concerning amd64 and time troubles. Hope that helps. regards Andy
