You might remember that Hitler was at one time discredited, and spent time in prison. He wrote his 'magnum opus' there. Later, he rose to command in his country, and became history's greatest fascist dictater, responcible for the hate killings of millions of people. Now, I don't compare Fischer to be anywhere as close to Hitler in the danger of his believes' being embraced by the ignorent in our modern world, but when it comes to Anti-Semites like him, who believe that Hitler was a great hero (it is said the Fischer had (has?), a full sized poster of Hitler hung on his wall), and would be happy if Jews like me were 'taken care of', the way we were in World War II germany, I am definately not going to 'lighten up' - I'm too scarred of people (even nice people like yourself), who think we shouldn't take it very seriously, when someone is spouting racial hatred, just because maybe they lost their minds, or we should be more tolarent of these horribe statements from such an individual, just because they once were able to pust the little plastic or wooden things around better than anyone else. - No, its just too frietening for me (Jews, or any religion you care to substitute), to 'lighten up', about such things. Getting back to chess software discussions, (which I much prefer to see here, instead of my own and other's ranting), I really do have light hearted atitudes about, but not about issues that can affect the lives of millions... mrslug - the inkompetent chess software addict!
