As some of you know, in December last year due to personal issues, a few members left CEGT. (myself, Graham, Sarah and Kirill). At that time, my intention was to retire from chess testing altogether. Graham, Kirill and Sarah had decided to continue testing on their own, as they had done before their CEGT days. Then, over the next few days we exchanegd EMails and thought why not form a small team and combine our efforts ? So a new team was borne, and we currently number 8 altogether. There were no discussions of this new team before the split from CEGT, none whatsoever. It was never and never will be our intention to compete with any other group. We had hoped to co-exist peacefully and produce our work for the benefit of the chess community, and for our results to sit alongsde everyone else's and be complementary to them. Unfortunately CEGT, or Heinz in particular, seems to feel under threat from our existence. We have assured him time and time again that these feelings are unfounded. We are just another testing group, and as stated above we want to work peacefully and for the benefit of the chess community, and for our results to sit alongsde everyone else's and be complementary. Apologies to all for the "war of words" that you've been seeing, but all I can say is that I don't believe we started it. It probably damages both of our reputations, and neither of us want that. Thanks for your patience.
