Anybody checked out the Position Tutor in Hiarcs 10 yet? I thought this might be useful, but on my system 95% of the time all it says is "Black has a decisive advantage" or "White has a decisive advantage". Cool. The Big Lebowski does chess. :) Even in positions like this, where as you can see below, Hiarcs 10's analysis fails to agree: [d] r3r1k1/pb1n1pbp/1q1p2p1/1ppP3n/4PB2/P1N2NPP/1PQ2PB1/3RR1K1 w - - 0 17 Analysis by Hiarcs 10: 17.Be3 Nhf6 18.b4 a5 19.bxc5 Nxc5 20.Nd2 b4 21.Rb1 = (0.13) Depth: 8/18 00:00:00 102kN 17.Be3 a5 18.g4 = (0.13) Depth: 9/19 00:00:00 130kN 17.Be3 a5 18.g4 Nhf6 19.b4 axb4 20.axb4 Ra3 21.bxc5 Nxc5 = (0.12) Depth: 10/19 00:00:00 220kN 17.Be3 Nhf6 18.b4 a6 19.g4 h6 = (0.13) Depth: 11/25 00:00:01 454kN 17.Be3 Nhf6 18.b4 a6 19.Rb1 Rac8 = (0.13) Depth: 12/27 00:00:04 994kN 17.Be3 Nhf6 18.b4 a6 19.bxc5 Nxc5 20.Nd4 Qa5 21.Ra1 Rac8 22.Rec1 = (0.13) Depth: 13/30 00:00:10 2097kN 17.Be3 Nhf6 18.b4 a6 19.Rc1 Rac8 20.Qd3 Qc7 = (0.13) Depth: 14/31 00:00:32 6653kN Remarkable foresight from the Position Tutor. No wonder ChessBase doesn't really try to sell it. Cheers, Chuck
