I don't think it says the release is in may 1 2006. it says that we have bought a subscription till may 2006 . The engine is already fantastic, so i am pleased that vasik is giving himself time. What i don't want is for him to rush the engine, and give us a "final product" that is highly flawed. Then we have to pay another 35 euro to get the next version. I think if rybka is to be a financial success, it must stay at number 1 for awhile. It needs to get a reputation as the best analysis tool. Then, chess players, desperate for any edge, will buy it. I am sure fruit and shredder authors are already looking for ways to negate rybka's advantage with passed pawns. That seems like something immiediatly achievable. there may be other adjustments that could eliminate the gap between rybka and other engines. Rybka is now in every programmers cross-hairs (gun sight). Vasik needs to final product to be very strong if it is to stay on top
