I don't know about May 2006. The quote below is copied from the Website and
seems clear enough to me:-
"Price: 34 Euro
Components covered by purchase:
* All Rybka Beta versions until Rybka 1.2
* Rybka 1.2 (on Feb 20, 2006)
* Rybka opening book by Jeroen Noomen (on Feb 20, 2006)
* Rybka WinFinder 1.0 (and any updates to this tool)"
When I paid my money for Rybka I understood that I was going to get a bug-fixed
version of the original beta with the additions of endgame heuristics, tablebase
access and a book.
It now looks like I am going to get endgame heuristics, tablebase access, a book
and in addition an engine which is between 30 and 40 Elo points stronger than I
originally expected.
In order to provide the stronger engine, Vas appears to have voluntarily done
about 5 weeks of effectively unpaid work improving the search. Consequently, I
feel quite well disposed towards him. If the final release is a few days late, I
will still feel well disposed towards him...........
