during that time when the current move is not displayed, rybka is also not getting to very big depth. In the fritz9 gui, if i am starting a tournement, i wait for rybka to fully load and start displaying search depth. once it does this, i restart the tournment. Rybka will then immiedieatly display search depth. I assumed that the fritz gui takes some time to fully load rybka and set up the hash table. Once the engine is loaded once, fritz gui seems to have reserved the space and next time you start up, rybka starts immiedieatly with full depth info displayed immieideiatly. I have no idea if my interperetation of the phenomena is correct, but starting the tournment, waiting for rybka to load, stoping the tourment and restarting does work best Joseph
