This may be a little off-topic, and really has nothing to do with resolving your problem, but I was just wondering... Has anyone ever tried creating a Linux/Unix user whose shell is a chess engine? Or configuring ssh to run a chess engine as the shell for a remote user? It seems like this might work, but I've never seen anyone mention it before. - mark
