World famous opening book author and CCC member Jeroen Noomen is certainly no stranger to the old dedicated computers as his previous posts here have shown..his days working for Mephisto were filled with exciting tournaments and interesting lore today for our viewing pleasure i am proud to show two photos from two such classic events here we see Jeroen operating Rebel against GM Anand on the Italian island Ischia in 1995 http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/cpaa2@sbcglobal.net/detail?.dir=1105&.dnm=3815re2.jpg&.src=ph and what is a true landmark in dedicated chess computer history.. here we see Jeroen playing the famous game that Mephisto Portorose won against Anatoly Karpov in Munich, 1990. he operated the Mephisto and tricked Karpov by a draw offer: he refused it and immediately blundered, after which the Portorose won the game. http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/cpaa2@sbcglobal.net/detail?.dir=1105&.dnm=4969re2.jpg&.src=ph Great Moments In History Regards Steve
