There were complaints about the lack of posts here. Here is something to (maybe) trigger some (not very deep) thought. On FICS, I have noticed that a player's suicide rating almost always is inversely proportional to their normal chess rating. While this seems odd, my theory is that players who can't hang onto their pieces in normal chess play suicide. Any opinions? James
