the CXG Chess 2001 is a real collector's item although not considered rare, it was released in 1983 and featured an Early Version of Richard Lang's Cyrus program unusual for a plastic computer ,move input was auto-sensory which normally is seen in more expensive wooden models due to this odd combination of plastic and auto-sensory move input the 2001 is one of those computers prone to high defect rates like its younger brother the Euro-Champ released in 1984 on Ebay now is an auction for the CXG 2001 looks to be in good condition and complete with all of the trimmings(box ,manual, pieces) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8766769081 Wiki Entry for the CXG 2001: http://www.schach-computer.info/wiki/index.php/CXG_Chess_2001 although there are no bidders now i am expecting a flurry of last second frenetic bidding but as i mentioned above..the computer could be working perfectly but can it withstand the brutal torture of shipping?? Remember..Chess Computer Collecting is like a box of Chocolates you never know what you are gonna get.. Steve Gump Regards
