But they are focused on GPL does not require you to acknowledge the original author of the code, it just mandates that any derived work has to be redistributed together with the full source of old and new parts and a copy of the GPL. Which makes sense, a GPLed software may have hundreds of authors after some time. GPL also does not prevent you from renaming the software. Robert
