Go up one level in this thread
Paulo, I just want to commend you on a great question. I've thoroughly enjoyed the posts that have followed. The best thing about the question was that there was no criteria for what "best" meant in this context. This allowed everyone to chose there own criteria and go from there. Personally, I would either vote for the original Fidelity Chess Challenger, as my first love (hey, I wasn't even ten yet, and it kicked my butt regularly for a year or so), or Crafty 16.4, which I downloaded a couple of months ago and found to be everything I wanted in a program. (Presently, Crafty is kicking my butt regularly, but I have gotten a couple of draws....) Best of all, it was free! But again, thanks Paulo for starting a great thread! Todd Durham
