The shortcut temporarily replaces your primary DOS autoexec.bat and config.sys files. They are restored upon exiting the program. If you interrupt this process somehow, it could cause a problem. But this should be easily fixable by booting into "safe mode" or "safe mode command prompt only" and renaming the saved autoexec.bat and config.sys files (I think they are saved as autoexec.win and config.win or something like that). Even if you didn't know this, you could have just deleted config.sys and autoexec.bat, as Windows 98 will work just fine without it (i.e. the necessary memory managers are loaded by default in windows 95/98.) >My computer stopped working as both WIN98 did not >function and MS-DOS no longer functioned.
