1) I don't think Fritz is a good program either. 2)I recently started analyzing with Rybka, and it is a very good program. However, it may be overestimating compensation after material sacrifice. Shredder seems to be better in this. 3) I am not impressed with Fruit so far (I downloaded Fruit 2.1 which seems to be slightly weaker) Gambit Fruit seems to understand chess better than both fruit 2.1 and Toga II. 4)It is not necassarily correct that the best OTB programs play the best cc chess. Hydra wasn't so successful against GM Nickel. There may be a difference. tansel
