My estimate is that rybka on very fast hardware is the best. I guess that deeper blue and deep blue are significantly weaker than it. I think that deep blue and deeper blue were best in 1996 and 1997 but Note that even being 400 elo weaker than rybka on fast hardware is still enough to be better than fritz5.32 on p200 that is weaker than that and fritz5.32 on p200 was probably at similiar level to the best commercial of 1997 on the best hardware of 1997(I think that P300 was available at that time). If we talk about hitech then it was probably at least 600 elo weaker than Rybka on fast hardware. Uri
