I watched a game last night and the following position came up. fen rnbqkb1r/1p4p1/1Pp2p2/p1Pp1nP1/3P1P2/P1N4B/8/R1BQK1NR/---W Black has just played f6. Here the white player played: 1) Kf2......Be7 2) Nf3......Ne3 After 3) Bxd3.....Rxh3 4) Rxh3.....Bxh3 5) Ne5......fxe5 6) Qh5+ Scored an easy win. I looked at the starting position with Fritz who immediately selects 1) Ra2 my CM also selects 1) Kf2 as played and for some reason expects a reply from black of fxg which it evaluates as being +4.69 to white and it never changes its evaluation and expects this move without switching, when Be7 as played in the game although not great is better than -4.69 as are other moves. Anyways it appears to me that 1) Bxf5! appears to win almost immediately or am i missing something about Bxf5!. Does anyone see a defence to 1) Bxf5. Thanks. UltraB
