Rather than just producing one promotion with the promotion piece set to a queen, produce 4 moves, with the promotion piece cycling through queen, rook, bishop and finally knight. In the q-search you don't need the underpromotions and can avoid them there for speed. > >Finally, does anyone have a rook or bishop underpromotion theme from an actual >game?
