The headline was to get your attention :-) But it's true! In my old PC Rybka calculates about 50 knps in middle game, but suddenly in endgame I have seen over 1 Mnps (even with TB access). I don't remember exact position now, but here is one position with almost that value: [D]8/5p2/3p4/2p2p2/2k2P2/7P/2K1P3/8 w - - 0 So is it possible to get idea how Rybka's nodes are counted - any programmer has idea? Normally engines slow down with end positions... Jouni
