Subject: Interfaces to run engine on ICC or FICS

After reading some posts about CCT8, I'm wondering what interface most engine
operators use to run on ICC (or FICS), for winboard/xboard engines.  Out of
curiosity, I'd like to know for UCI engines as well.

I plan to run my new winboard engine online soon, and I'm not sure if I should
use winboard as the interface or something else.
