Explain? This inconsistency is bad for analysis, as one >frequently goes back and forth in a position. ? This is just expected behaviour for all chess programs using hashtables... I don't see your problem? Actually it is _good_ that something is 'learned' when going back and forth. If you want to reproduce an analyis you always have to clear the hashtables, (even then it will not work for non deterministic programs),but most here know this of course. Guenther
