fellow Colleague your point is well taken and i would agree that the ratings for the dedicated computers are too low even before the rating reduction of 100 points by the SSDF in 2000 ratings against human players will be higher but there is also the problem that after many games against the same dedicated computer humans can repeat opening lines that the dedciated computer will play badly or repeat entire games that result in inferior positions for the unit however if we do not allow this sort of "tom foolery "then ratings for most dedicated computers would be more 200 Elo more i cannot say i also cannot speak from expierence as i have never lost to a dedicated computer so its hard for me to put a number on this figure exactly BS Regards Steve
