hi steve, sure would like to see a scematic of this unit. could be a defective power supply.overvoltage condition. = bad, blows out everything. could be a fault condition, all led's and sound. bad ground or normally opened closed switch in switch matrix. are they mechanical switchs or samwitched between plastic.sprayed on conducting traces and bubble switchs? liquid contamination and or wear(sprayed on conductor flakes and migrates) reak havoc. visual examination of internal parts should reveal obviuos stuff like puffed capacitors toasted resisters, bad solder connections loose mezanine boards. if it has releasable interconnects they may need cleaning,if i.c.'s are in sockets the contacts my need cleaning. eproms may have lost there memory. external connectors if any could be shorted.bent pins or foriegn contamination. do you have any pictures of the internal parts posted anywhere? sure would like to have a look. regards mike
