I don't know how Chris' program works, but mine can't time out before finishing the second ply, so if it had an adjournment bug, this is how it would manifest. In any case, this is not a case of the engine being outright stupid. Obviously there is a bug happening here, since anything can see that a5 gets creamed by a one-ply threat. bruce
