The join utility is just something I wrote to get some (to me) interessting statistics and experiment with some ideas. You may distribute the program to anybode and you may have the sources too if you want - though they are pretty messy. By the way - by using this program I have proven to myself at least, that the average branching factor is not 38 which is commonly accepted here, but approximately 31. This I have got after scanning millions of games, so I would say that the number is pretty accurate. I have posted this here, but nobody seems to take me seriously - this error is too well established. Regards Andreas
