I totally agree.
Forum is not something private.

There is reason to prevent unregistered people to write in a forum but not a
reason to prevent them to read.

Preventing unregistered readers to read also does not prevent them to register
under a faked name read and write nothing.

Unfortunately I get the following  message when I click on the link:
