Hello Julio,
Yes, I've played it against Fritz,Nimzo and Junior using auto232. It's a hassle
to do but once you get it started it keeps going. The problem I'm having is
when you want to hang the 2nd computer on the auto232 and play like Fritz 5.32
through the auto232 through the CST-2 interface connected to ICC. It seems to
me that you need CST-2 to be the "Master" to pull this off. So it does not work
"properly". I have on a couple of accasions got Fritz to play white only as the
"Master" doing a manual start after accepting the "match" command from someone.
Even when doing this there is delay and you have to set Fritz up for 5/0 and set
seeks for like 5/2 or 5/3 so Fritz does not run out of time. Even then someone
will come along and instead of answering your 5/3 seek they will "match" you at
2/12!? So you are set up for 5/3 and end up playing 2/12. I've done all this
in unrated games. I'm trying to get CST-2 a rating without playing
computers(Except on very rare occasions).
I've sent 3 emails to Oxford-Softworks but they don't answer. I've posted a web
site where Chris was posting info about CST but so far not response from him
either. He seemed to be indicating that it was not worth fixing unless a lot of
people complained. Personally, it's the only reason I purchased the program. I
certainly did not but it for it's strength but it is stronger than most all
chess players.
