Even though there is a lot of good chess software such as ,playing programs, (Fritz5, HIARCS, MChess, CSTAL, ect), and chess databases, (CB7, Chess Assistant, Chess Academy), & even tutorials, (Chess Mentor, TASC Chess Tutor, CTART, ect.), I still get the most out of the enourmous range of chess books available. One of the latest coolest books is, 'Secrets Of Modern Chess Strategy', by John Watson. And there are many other great chess books I won't bother to mention here. My thought is that reading these books, stands to improve one understanding of chess more then the software can currently do, even without studying the game later on the computer screen... mrslug - the inkompetent chess software addict!
