It's coming along pretty well. I'm done splitting things
apart into separate dynamic-link libraries and revamping
all of the pure chess stuff (positional computation, PGN
and EPD parsing and formatting, etc.) into highly portable
ANSI standard 1989 C. Now I'm into the fun part of debugging
my new database structures. I have yet to design the interface
for pluggable analysis modules, but my intent is to publish
a simple DLL interface so that users can easily write
custom analysis/commentary modules. I'll supply a module
that maps this interface to Winboard engines, at least.

At the rate things are going I should be able to beta
in the summertime, at least for Windows.
