Here are the actual standings from the 4th winboard tournament that I play together with Frank Quisinsky. The games are played on an AMD K6-2 333Mhz and AMD K6-2 380MHz. Each engine is configured with about 32 MB hashtables. Level is 40 moves in 40 minutes with permanent brain off. Endgame databases (tablebases/EGDB/ bitbases) are used if supported by the engine. Each engine plays 8 games against each other engine. Standings after 628 games, round 10: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 01) Zarkov 4.5e USA 65,5 off 96 P. 2552 ELO 02) Crafty 16.05-16.06 USA 65,0 off 96 P. 2549 ELO 03) Comet B.00 GER 56,5 off 96 P. 2487 ELO 2579,00 04) Voyager 3.24-4.23 SUI 56,5 off 96 P. 2487 ELO 2535,75 05) Phalanx 21 TCH 53,5 off 96 P. 2466 ELO 06) WB Nimzo 2000 AUT 46,5 off 96 P. 2420 ELO 07) AnMon 4.09-4.10 FRA 46,0 off 96 P. 2416 ELO 08) Patzer 2.99 ZS-ZT GER 45,5 off 96 P. 2414 ELO 09) Gromit 2.11-2.13X GER 43,0 off 96 P. 2397 ELO 10) ZChess 1.20 FRA 42,0 off 96 P. 2390 ELO 11) Francesca 0.67-0.68b ENG 41,0 off 96 P. 2383 ELO 12) The Crazy Bishop 0043 FRA 36,0 off 96 P. 2348 ELO 13) Stobor Build 32-56 USA 27,0 off 96 P. 2280 ELO Actual we are playing with Bionic 4.11. This new version seems to be 75-100 ELO weaker than version 4.01, so we don´t exspect a high position. The engines Zarkov, AnMon, Patzer, Francesca, Stobor and Voyager are not freeware. These engines has been made available by the programmers only for our tournaments. Short impressions : ZChess 1.20 seems to be a big improvement (+100 ELO) over ZChess 1.00. Comet and Crafty are also stronger than the older versions. Stobor seems to have a bug, because earlier versions were much stronger (about 2400 ELO) than the actual Build 56. The result from Nimzo is a little disappointment, because we espect a better result. Zarkov plays a very strategically chess and in the endgame it is much stronger than the other engines, although it didn´t use endgame databases. This is the actual ELO list from all our winboard games calculated with Fritz5.32, AMD K6-2 333/380, ~ 32MB HT, 40/40, PB=OFF, 2084 games under winBoard 01.
