I noticed Will didn't post a position this week, so I'll share one from a game Grok played as Black against Lambchop a couple of weeks ago on ICC. r3r2k/p1bb1pp1/qp5p/3pP3/PBp2P1Q/4P1RP/2B3P1/R5K1 w - - bm Rxg7; How long does it take your program to: a) find Rxg7 b) realize Rxg7 is winning This is probably easy for programs with the single-reply extension. Lambchop found this in a blitz game - I think Peter McKenzie reported that it needed 6 seconds to see the move on his P133, and somewhere around 30-40 seconds to see the win. (Correct me if I'm remembering this wrong, Peter) --Peter P.S. Chess Genius 6 on my K6-300 finds Rxg7 instantly, and after a short time announces mate in 8.
