Using my 333mhz celeron, I did find that neither Fritz 5.32 nor Genius 5 solved the problem, at least not in a time frame I was willing to wait for. However, CM 6000 found Q-h6ch and announced mate in 10 in less than 1 second. I remember that once I set up the position from the famous Paulsen-Morphy game to see if the progs could find the Q sac at move 17. Rebel 8, Hiarcs 6 and Genius 5 all failed even at 40/2(I think Rebel 8 did find it after 19 minutes) Fritz 5.32 found it at g/25 after 22 seconds, and CM6000 found it in about 2 seconds. Similarly, in Larsen-Petrosian 1966 at the Piatigorsky Cup Tournament, Larsen's famous Q sac is found on my computer by Genius 5 after 4 min. when set on Infinite, by Rebel 8 in 8 min., by Fritz 5.32 in about 8 seconds--and by CM6000 in about 2 seconds. For whatever reason CM6000 seems to excel at these forced winning lines that start with a q sac. eric
